Hi. I am a 53yo male who had a "cardiac episode" 4 yrs ago. I had what seemed to be gall bladder type pain for about 2 hours at a time over 3 days. When finally visiting a doctor who did some testing there were anomalies in my ECG (in the recovery portion of my heart beat). After extensive testing including a thallium stress test it was decided to do an angiogram. (The scan showed some area of damage.) The doctors, expecting to see some major blockages, reported no blockages at all, and my heart was free of any deposits. The blockage that caused the problem was probably a clot that cleared on its own. I was pronounced free of disease and go live my life. Since that time I have had on and off chest pain and palpitations. Sometimes it's a sharp pain, other times a squeezing pain that slowly realeases, usually preceeded by several days of palpitations.
Since the event 4 yrs ago (diagnosed as a "cardiac anomolie") I have had 4 stress tests with thalium scans. Each test shows a well functioning heart with no limitations. Any signs of damage and ECG problems had quickly disappeared after the original event . The ECG returned to normal within 3 weeks.
The doctors are getting tired of my complaints, often diagnosed as costochondritis (to keep me happy!) and no one seems to be listening to my pain complaints which have been with me from the time of the original event.
I exercise regularly and I am about to train for a climb of Mt. Rainier this summer (the toughest endurance climb in the continental US). I have been given a clean bill of health, but with this pain I have a nagging feeling one day I'll just keel over....not the worst way to go! Frequent treadmill work and bicycling present no agina like pain, can exercise with intensity for some time. Most of the pains I have are while sitting or being inactive.
Any advice? I have seen my own doctor as well as a cardiologist over the last 4 yrs.

Is there some reason this was never responded to while others were?
