Dear Doctor,
I am a heavy smoker for over 30 years.
Now I am having problems with chest pain and I am really ready to cut smoking once and forever. (thinking a while this way)
My question is, if I should do this right now. Can I do this, or should I wait to get a check up (which has to wait until March for financial reason)? I was told that it would be dangerous to quit that fast if you have a possible heart problem.
Needless to say, that I am ready to quit now!
Can you give me advice.
