Question: Public Blood Pressure Monitors

 hlanelee - Tue Sep 16, 2003 7:22 pm

I have been taking Effexor XR for a long time for depression due to a bipolar disorder. The other day, there was a commercial on the radio that said I should be keeping an eye on my blood pressure. Does any one know, are the blood pressure monitors in grocery stores and drug stores reliable?

User avatar I wouldnt recommend them at all. They all may be perfectly good devices but their use and maintenance not up to standard. Reading your blood pressure involves a technique that requires training.
