Question: Pins and needles/Numbness left hand - 2 fingers

turtletink - Mon Jul 25, 2005 1:20 pm Bookmark and Share

I am a 34 year old healthy woman. For the past week i have had constant tingling and numbness in my left hand, just the last two fingers (pinky and ring fingers.) Its not really painful, just noticable and annoying. I still have full use of the hand. No pain in the arm or shoulder.

I do use a computer for work, and noticed in some previous posts that can cause problems. I have no other health problems that i am aware of.

Any suggestions, is a doctor's visit necessary?

turtletink - I'm am not a doctor, and it may be a good idea to go and get this checked out just to rule out anything serious. I am a 25 yr old female and went through something similar about a year ago. I have the exact same thing happen, and also am on a computer 5-6 days a week. I did see a doctor for the issue and was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel. The doctor had me purchase a splint for my wrist that I only wear at night when sleep. I only have the sensation now every couple of months. I would suggest trying this if you haven't already.
