I have been having chest pain off and on for about 2 weeks now. On friday I had the pain from 7pm till almost 7 pm saturday. My blood pressure was high also 146/100 (normal for me is 101/86) I went to the ER on saturday morning at about 8 am. They did an EKG which came back clear. The DR asked if I had ever done cocaine or been diagnosed with cancer and a few other questions. All the answers were no. I was treated with a Gi cocktail (if you never had one you don't want one :( ) it consisted of milk of magnesia and something to numb my throat and stomach. ( I can still taste it occasionally) They also gave me an IV dose of pepcid. After looking at everything the DR kept mentioning blood clot. They then sent me home with a script for ibuprofen. No other tests were run. I'm putting in a call to my PCP monday are there any tests I should ask for. I am a 30 yr old female who is active full time employed as a nurse aide. I am some what over weight bit don't really look it. I do smoke but less than half a pack a day (trying to quit).

Also today I have started to cough when I do my blood pressure goes up 146/86 Should I be worried about this. I don't have any cold symptoms to explain the cough. Another symptom I have noticed today was that when my chest hurts I get a painful tingling sensation in the last two fingers of my left hand
