This is a rash I have on my hand. It has been recurring off and on for around five years in the same spot on my hand. It can go a day or two without Itching as it heals, then it flares back up and itches a grat deal. Does anyone have an idea of what it may be?

Hello,

It could be Herpes Zoster. Is it only on one hand? Is it painful?
Have you shown this to your doctor?

Anyone else have any ideas?

I have shown it to general practitioners a few times. They just have given me a cream but no real diagnosis. Been so long I can't recall what the cream was. I do have an appt. with a dermatologist this coming month.

It's painful only when it's scratched raw by me. Other than that it's only a terrible Itch that comes while it's healing.

Try dabbing it with a dandruff shampoo with a high Selenium content and let it dry there -- can't hurt. Aso, try sunning your hands, but don't get burned obviously. Psoriatic conditions respond to Selenium and Vitamin D (naturally from sunlight).
let me know if this helps.
