Question: herpes or other infection?

I've discovered an increasing amount of small blisters with clear pus that quickly scab over along my penis, mostly under the head. I have tried to use an offbrand of Monistat-3 incase of a yeast infection, with no changes. My current sexual partner recently visited a doctor for a Fever, sore throat, and pain urinating. She was given a urine test and a Pap smear and received two Antibiotics for a UTI and an infection (Flagyl and Peroxi-something), with no call back about any STDs or worse infections. A few days later, she was fine. Near the end of this clearing up, we did have unprotected sex.
A week or two later is when I began to notice my sores. They were followed by a Fever, sore throat, swollen Lymph nodes, and a weird blister and swelling around the fingernail of my middle finger. I have no pain urinating, no tingles, no Itching, and no strong irritation. The scabbed sores continue to increase and I am going to the doctor tomorrow.
I've had two past sexual partners, including my current one. The first had no partners prior to myself and never showed any symptoms over the three years we were together. My current partner had one previous partner who had none previous to her -- and she is the one that recently had the urine and pap test with no call back.
The symptoms seem consistent with genital herpes as I have read, but also similar to some yeast infections (which would make more sense to me). Could there be any possibility other than herpes?

Herpes is a possibility from your description. Without being able to directly examine you, it is difficult to say for certain. It is good that you have a doctor's appointment. Your doctor should be able to help, and can order some testing for various infections that may be causing your symptoms.
Happy New Year.
