Question: Hard Bump on Face at Corner of Mouth

I had an Acne break out at the corner of my mouth and had an 8 hour dental procedure a few days later. During the procedure they were pushing very hard in that area and the break out got all cracked and irritated after that. Now I have a visible bump at the corner of my mouth that hasn't gone away. It has been there for a few months now. It isn't painful and seems to fade sometimes but the lump can still be felt under the skin. I'm wondering what this might be. Is it possible that it is just some type of scar tissue from the trauma it incurred during the dental procedure?

Hello,
The trauma and the infection or inflammation of the sebaceous glands (where Acne lesions arise) resulted from trauma causes what is known as cystic Acne.
Cystic Acne is a type of abscess of the logged oil ducts due to either trauma and inflammation or by infection.
If the lesions are not treated and drained properly or
the inflammation persists for long time , a chronic abscess or lesion will be formed that is basically formed of a fibrous tissue surrounding a nidus (e.
g sebum(fat)).
Direct clinical examination is essential for proper management.
Best regards.
