Question: purple bump in bellybutton

Ok...I'm a 26 year old female who has a purple cyst growing in my bellybutton. This started the day after Christmas and I saw a doctor last week. He told me it could be a hernia and sent me to a surgeon. The surgeon said it was defintely not a hernia but he had never seen anything like it before. He kept calling it wierd and is referring me to a dermotologist. However, I can't get in until March 1st and after hearing two doctors call my bump wierd.....I'm a little scared. I was given the prescription Cephalex (or something along those lines) and was told to put hot compresses on it. Well, I did all that and if anything it looks like it's gotten a little bigger. Help!!! Any ideas as to what this thing is??? Oh...and it's not leaking anything at all. And it doesn't stick out of my bellybutton but it's pretty much filling up the whole inside of it.
