I am a 34 year old female. I have been using an epilator for almost a year now on armpits, legs and bikini line. I frequently have small ingrown hairs that are ease to remove. However, I currently have 3 very ingrown hairs on my bikini line. Is this something my body will take care of itself or is there something I can do to help it resolve? I also road bike alot and am not sure if the very small, narrow lightly padded seat might be contributing to my problem.

Hi mtnchica,
If the areas appear inflammed/infected you may want to have an evaluation by your physician. You may also want to allow the hair to grow a little longer before using the epilator. This may also decrease occurrences.
Sincerely,
Theresa Jones, RN
