Question: molluscum

I'm still a 39 yr old female with a hubby who has molluscum. Once the warts are gone, are they truly gone? And if they come back does that mean he was reinfected?
Is it true that molluscum can lay domant for a few months to a year, maybe longer?
Thanks...
Is there anyone out there that is going through almost the same thing?

Hi Kmbrly,
Molluscum contagiosum is contagious until the bumps are gone
Molluscum warts do not lay dormant, they are either active (with the prescence of the wart) or gone (no signs of the warts or lesions).
If you or your partner become infected with these warts then exposure to someone who has this virus has occurred.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The virus can spread from one part of the body to another or to other people. Molluscum contagiosum is contagious until the bumps are gone—which, if untreated, may be up to 6 months or longer.
Individual lesions of molluscum contagiosum usually disappear within about 2 - 3 months. Complete disappearance of all lesions generally occurs within about 6 - 18 months. The disorder may persist .
Total abstinence is the only foolproof way of avoiding molluscum virus and other STDs.
