Hi! I'm a 18 year old male who recently suffer from Itchy redish small patches of bumps on my upper chest. This has been going for for almost a month and it starting to appear on the sides of my neck. At the same time, I just started taking Vitamin B2 medication/pills. I'm wondering if I could be allergic to them or something? About almost a week ago due to possible food posioning, I threw up everything I ate. However overnight, my chest was really smooth, and I couldn't feel the bumps. It was as if they all suddenly disappear. From tonight on, I decide to stop taking Vitamin B2 and see if there really is an effect on these Itchy red patches on my upper chest. Thanks.

Hi leo9986754,
You very well may be having a reaction to an additive or the medication itself. After you have discontinued use for a few days if the rash completely subsides then you will know that there was a correlation. If so make sure when you go in for your next appointment that you inform the physician of this reaction so a allergy/adverse reaction may be added to your records. Best wishes.
Sincerely,

An update on my condition:
My skin actually have a bad reaction towards the baby oil that I have putting on instead of the Vitamin B2 tablets that I was taking at the time. However this reaction was not the original main problem. I was actually diagnoised with Tinea Versicolor according to my doctor, but she is not 100% sure about it, but gave me tropical treatment.
Tinea Versicolor is a type of fungus that is common in the United States. It appears as red or brown rash and itches when its hot or when sweating. (this is what Im experiencing and what I researched online.)

I also want to add that Tinea Versicolor usually appear on the chest, back, neck, and legs.
