I am 41 yr old female.
two days ago I noticed a small red bump on my right side of my face on my check bone. I thought It was a pimple. but it was very painful. as the day went on it swelled and my check was swollen. and my jaw and neck became sore and tight. I could see the puss under the skin, so I squeezed the pimple, but nothing would come out. so I poked it with a clean needle, and a very small amount of bloody puss came out. after getting frustrated, I dug into it with a pair of tweezers (no pain) and could see a white dot, i pulled on that white dot and I pulled out a green mass of solid but not hard stuff. the swelling started to go down, but today when i woke up, under my eye is all swollen. there was no blood or pain when i pulled out the green thing, but it left a small hole. i used alcohol and peroxide. what is this? what did i pull out of my face?

Hi Phyxtart,
This may have been an ingrown hair or blocked pore on the face. These can become infected and can spread to the surrounding areas. It sounds like this may be occurring with you.
I would strongly recommend you see your doctor as soon as you can to have this evaluated. You'll likely need some antitbiotics to help clear this up. These infections can become serious at times so please don't wait too long to have this evaluated.
Best wishes.
