Question: Groin Pigmentation Different from Skin Color

 Loafers - Mon Dec 31, 2007 12:48 am

Hello,

I never really noticed this much until the past couple years. My penis/groin area skin color is Dark brown and I happen to be white, which makes it look very weird. Underneath my shaft it feels slightly sticky and has some white bumps and feels rocky also where my testicles touch my thighs it also feels slightly sticky. I don't know if this has happened in my childhood b/c I never really bothered noticing it much.

I don't know if this is a result of poor hygiene throughout my childhood, but no matter how hard I scrub or clean my groin area it always remains brown and sticky. I also tried using different soaps but with no success.

Any suggestions on fixing this "dark problem" :)?

User avatar Hi Loafers,

Some darkening of the groin area is normal because the increased hormones in the area can cause some color change. The spots and "stickiness" you are describing may be a fungal infection. These infections like areas that are moist and warm. It may be reasonable to try some of the over the counter "jock-itch" creams to see if this helps some. Inflammation from these infections can also lead to darkening of the skin.

I would recommend you have this evaluated by your doctor when you are in next.

Best wishes.
