I can tell you it isn't a brown recluse spider bite.. It may be a bite from somthing but not a brown recluse. If it was it wouldn't take 6 months and your flesh would start to rot. It takes shape of like a bullseye and usually it would only be one. It gets worse to the point where you would have went to the dr already.
Have you been around poison ivy or oak.
I hope someone comes around soon to help you further..
Good luck,
wish

Dear JohnJohnMe: I note that you live in California. Brown Recluse spiders are not to be found in California. The Brown Recluse belongs to a family of several recluse spiders that are often mistaken for the Brown Recluse. And while the Brown Recluse venom can cause a small amount of necrosis the huge necrotic areas seen in some photos are usually due to the patients own underlying vascualar or lymphatic disorders. Please see this website for information on this Click here So, whatever the lesions on your legs are its not from a Brown Recluse Spider. You need to see a dermatologist for the correct diagnosis and treatment of your lesions. The description you give of how the lesion acts (pus, light blood, then dark blood) could be the description of many disorders. It is possible that the lesions are insect bites since they occur only on the one leg, but to know for sure a doctor needs to SEE them. Thanks for using The Doctor's Lounge, Carolyn

I don't know who verified that for you but there are several varieties of recluse spiders and a couple of them look almost exactly like the brown recluse. There are NO reports of brown recluse spiders in California or in any western state. Unless you are the first person to discover them. Those are the facts.

Carolyn

I appreciate the offer, however since I volunteer my time at this site I don't have the financial resources to have spider species verified. I also have no desire to debate the issue. I merely reported to you the information found at the site I gave you to look up. There are many resources available to investigate matters and at times we find that different ones contradict each other. Perhaps that is the case here. It never hurts to have a lesion on the skin investigated in order to protect oneself and that is about the best recommendation I can give.
Wishing you good health,
Carolyn

Is anyone thinking of the possibilties of the spider being shipped to your area. although it is not their native area boxes etc. get shipped daily from one locaiton to another and it's very possible for these spiders among many other things end up in places they statisticly don't belong
Take care and hope you got it looked at.
