does hydroquinine fade tattoos?
Because it seems to be the main ingredient in tattoo fade away creams.
If any one can help me I would highly appreciate it.
THANX

Hi password1,
From everything I've read, there have been both good and bad reviews with Hydroquinone fading tattoos. Generally speaking this is a skin bleaching agent that reduces the intensity of pigmentation. The reported results on lighter colored tattoos seems to be more substantial than darker ones. However, in my opinion, I would consult a dermatologist about this product prior to using it because in the past there has been some speculation regarding the safety.
Sincerely,
Rntdj

I am also interested in hydroquinone being efective in removing a tattoo? On the 16th of this month (April) I started my own treatment. I am using an apricot scrub & then rubbing hydroquinone (2%) over the tattoo. I then use plastic wrap to cover it & then wrap in an ace bandage. I took pictures before I started & I am already seeing a slight color fade. I actually have a rose (red, green & black underneath a completely black tribal tattoo. I am seeing some of the rose coming through. It is not my imagination because I compared before & after pictures! My family memebers are also seeing the change. I hope this helps someone or if someone has more info, I would love to hear? From my research, the "fade away creams" are merely hydrquinone cream. I would like to see my dermatologists & get a prescription for 7% hydroquinone & see if that works even better! Any information regarding this would very appreciated......
