I woke up this with orange and brown blotches on the palm of my left hand,it looks like rust. I know that it was not there before i went to sleep last night. Have washed my hands numerous times and it still has not removed from the palm of my hand.
Thanks, Carl

Hello,This problem of getting overnight pigment is indeed an unanswered problem and discussed in many forums with out conclusions. My own personal impression is that this is tinea nigra caused by a fungus Exophila vernrneckii leading to brownish pigmentation of the palms and somtimes soles.A woods lamp examination and scraping for fungus might lead to a possible solution in identifying a fungal origin.Cheers.
