Question: sore scalp, flaking, weight gain, etc...

 TT7727 - Wed Apr 20, 2005 9:48 pm Bookmark and Share

Hi. I am 27 years old and I am experiencing alot of hair falling out when washing, combing, running fingers through hair, etc.The top and front of the scalp area is sore and tender.Lots of flaking, some itching. Have had alot of weight gain in the past year( about 40 pounds) Have dry skin, irregular periods, and some bumpy patches that look like clogged hair follicles on my legs. I am having trouble losing the weight too. I feel hungary and thirsty all the time. My cheecks are red most of the time and so is the top of my scalp. I have thought maybe I am going through some kind of menopause early??? Could it be diabetes or a thyroid problem causing this? I am worried!! Help. :(

I was searching for information and ran accross your post. I have ALL of those exact symptoms. Have you had any replies to your post? Or any luck with finding out what is causing your symptoms?

Thanks.
