In the past 7 weeks, I have had 4 Menstral Cycles- I have PCOS, not currently taking medications (havent for 6+ months). Also different-these recent cycles have been HEAVY & severe cramping. Is this often menstration heard of? Should I be concerned, or is this normal PCOS problems w/out medication?
Thank you!

Dear azypup,
You mean that you did not receive any treatment for the PCOS during the past 6 month, this might be the cause of this uncontrolled symptoms related to the disease.
Although other causes should be excluded and that necessitate complete history and physical examination.
Females with PCOS experience any of the following symptoms:
Menstrual irregularity or absence of menstruation,
Irregular vaginal bleeding,
Pelvic pain
Fertility problems
Increased growth of hair
Acne, oily skin, or dandruff
Obesity
Type 2 diabetes
High cholesterol
High blood pressure
I advised you to follow up with your doctor, he would recommended you the proper treatment for the PCOS which will help.
Best regards,
