I have been experiencing some odd changes in my body since having a baby in 2001, and wonder what this is caused by: very heavy, prolonged menstrual cycles, passing large (ping pong ball size) tissue/blood clots, pain and blood tinged mucus when ovulating, and hypersensitivity to cigarette smoke. This last symptom is particularly odd. I smell cigarettes when no one else does and even when I'm alone in the car. My eyes and throat burn as if smoke is right in my face, yet no one is around. The instance of the hypersensitivity seemingly coincides with the onset and duration of ovulation and menses. The hypersensitivity first began while pregnant and the other symptoms began approximately 6 weeks after I gave birth and have not subsided. Note that I breasfed exclusively for 18 months.
Any ideas what might be going on?
