My wife has had her thyroid removed.
She has recently stopped taking her synthroid - stating she is trying to kill kerself.
Will not taking synthroid actually kill her?
She now has severe diarrea, intolerance to cold, sleeps all day, extremely moody.

Hi saklein22,
A person that has had a thyroidectomy requires permanent (lifelong) replacement of thyroid hormones. Discontinuation of this medication may produce lifethreatening conditions. I would suggest prompt medical treatment!
Sincerely,
Rntdj
