My wife had a baby six weeks ago. Due to religious reasons we abstained from sex that entire time. Now she has just begun taking birth control in the form of Errin. How long does she have to be on the pill for it to be an effective Birth-control method? Thanks

Once she has started the birth control pills, taken as directed, it is effective from the beginning so you should be safe.
