failed ejaculation
I am an elderly widower who masturbates once a week. In the last two efforts the exultation was extremely brief as almost nothing and the seminal fluid was nil. Please advise.

Hello,As we age there would be some reduction in the quantity of the ejaculate. This should not cause any problem.Retrograde ejaculation occurs when the bladder sphincter becomes weak and the semen goes backwards in to the bladder, this again would be a problem when conception is planned.Reducing androgen levels do cause some reduction which is less common.Again medical conditions like blockage of the ducts could be the cause and can be ruled out by ultrasound. On the whole it is more likely to be physiological than any disease. If this persists do consult your doctor.Best wishes.
