Hello Lin Champagne,

Many people have cysts on ovaries and kidneys without knowing they are there. It is when there are other complications going on that these need to be investigated further.

Most cysts on kidneys and ovaries are benign and are found when the doctor is looking for other things. These are called "incidental cysts"

One does not automatically have PKD if they have cysts. However if there are other symptoms such as fever, frequent urination, blood in the urine or pain inbetween the ribs and hips further testing may be required.

I encourage you to continue talking to the Doctor that you are seeing and good luck
