Hello,
Sorry for the delay in replying and hope you are better now.
It would be more helpful if you can inform us about the site of these enlarged
lymph nodes, their size and any associated symptoms like being painful, tender, or hot. It would be more helpful also if you can inform us about the current status of the thyroid functions and if you can give more details about the previous history of
melanoma.
They could be reactionary
lymph node to infection in the throat, sinuses and the upper respiratory tract. These enlarged nodes are painful, mobile, and soft to firm; they then regress in size once infection is controlled but remain palpable but less than 1 cm.
Increase in the leucocytes count may occur during infections as part of the body defense mechanism and the differential count is helpful.
Lymph nodes that do not regress but increase on serial clinical examination are alarming and should be investigated properly. Biopsy may be done if the node is considerably large, hard, fixed or in constant growth.
Sinusitis causes sever
headache that is mainly occur early in the morning and subsides during the day. But it is very important that your doctor excluded brain hemorrhage since you are on anticoagulant therapy.
I would be also helpful to check the
ESR,
LDH levels and do consider doing MRI is symptoms persist.
Follow up with your doctor is essential, update him with your symptoms and discuss with him your concerns.
Please keep us updated.
Best regards.
