Hello,
No woman has ever been guaranteed regular periods. Even if they are regular at one time, hormones change and irregularity at times is very normal for most women. If your doctor says you are healthy otherwise, I would not worry about the periods. If you are questioning pregnancy, you can take a home
pregnancy test pretty easily to ease your mind. It seems highly unlikely given your medical history. You could have some
blood sugar variations and maintaining a diet rich in protein with small frequent meals might help. Some people find they respond to chromium (a supplement that helps stabilize
blood sugar).
At any rate, missing periods is rarely a cause for alarm. If your doctor "blew you off" I'm quite certain it was because it is nothing serious. She probably didn't intend for you to feel this way about her response. It may be her way of being reassuring.
Best wishes.
