This was probably overkill. Your period is the most unlikely time for pregnancy, though it does sometimes occur. Condoms are very effective barrier methods of birth control so the emergency contraception would not have been needed. You may experience some abnormality of periods resulting from the hormones you took so don't be alarmed. But, the chances of pregnancy based on the information you have provided is extremely slim.
