Hello,
This is a common condition in perimenopause as hormone levels decrease. It can be associated with conditions such as fibroids or cancer so it's good to have it checked out. You may be a candidate for a hysteroscopy with endometrial biopsy to be sure the thickened lining does not contain abnormal cells. D & C, hormone therapy or uterine ablation are options for treatment. I would not be alarmed but you should see your doctor.
