hormones during breast feeding

i am 32 and female and am not taking any medication not even contraception i am breast feeding my 4 month old baby who in the last month has got a dark line down his tummy just like the one you get when you are pregnant as i know hes not pregnant i was wondering why this is?

Linea Nigra is the brown pigmentated line which is located from the umbilicus to the pubic area and is typically noted in women during pregnancy. This may occur in infants and may be a response to maternal hormones. Upon your next pediatric visit bring this area to the attention of your child's physician.
