Hi Cobostyle,
This is a little bit of a tricky question. Opiates can cross into the breast milk; however, in general, not much does. Percocet (containing oxycodone) is a fairly routine postpartum medicine.
However, there are some women that seem to excrete more opiate into the breast milk than others. Rarely, but possible, enough opiate can get into the breast milk to cause some problems with the baby.
I would advise caution and ongoing discussions with her doctor about this to be sure everything is OK.
Best wishes.
