I assume that the pain is where the catheter was inserted.
Pain and local discomfort is expected after the operation for few days.
But, It is of concern if pain, swelling, or tenderness develops at the site of catheter insertion late after the operation.
Increasing pain at the site of catheter insertion is warning sign that need investigations.
Direct clinical examination is essential and Duplex study is mandatory for evaluation of the venous system.
If causes related to the operation are excluded then other causes of myoskeletal origin should be investigated.
I advise you to follow with your Doctor and to update him with your symptoms as soon as possible.
