Shoulder Pain

Postby wilddove » Wed Sep 29, 2004 12:15 pm

About 2 weeks ago I reached my right arm around to my back and my right shoulder just under the bone hurt really bad. It hasn't stopped hurting since. When I cough, sneeze or even breath deep I get a sharp pain in that area. Can you tell me if I pulled a muscle or even though it sometimes feels like I broke a rib or something.

Is there any swelling or bruisingin the affected area? Are you able to raise your arm above your head? It is possible to have dislocated your shoulder. Did you hear a loud pop when you reached around your back? For the pain to have lasted this long warrants a trip to the doctor for an exam.
This too, in time, shall pass.
