Postby Debbielaine » Mon Sep 08, 2008 1:51 am

I have for 2 days had severe right neck and knee pain accompanied by both joints on thumbs, have been taking Ibuprofen but with out much relief. Sleep has been distrupted for 2 nights with the addition of severe itching all over particualrily the feet. The pain is now in most major joints of my body.

Hello -

The first thing that comes to mind with this set of symptoms is possible rheumatic fever. It is only a guess, and you should see a doctor as soon as possible to find out what's really going on, but there is that one possibility, unless, of course, you already have a history of some sort of rheumatic disease.

Best of luck to you. Please follow up with us as needed.
