Persistent Fingertip Numbness

Postby imissmom » Sun Oct 14, 2007 11:54 am

I am a 40/F, no major medical problems, 2 routine adolescent surgeries.
Maternal: Grandfather- Stroke and heart attack.
Uncle-Fatal Abdominal Aeortic Anuerysm

Meds: Elavil, Tricor, Aspirin

In the last month or so, I've noticed the tips of some of my fingers are numb, not painful, not tingling, but persistent. Only the index, middle, and ring fingers on both hands.

Hi Imissmom,

This distribution of numbness is suggestive of carpal tunnel syndrome. I would recommend you see your doctor for a full evaluation. You may need some further nerve testing to see if this is actually what is going on.

Best wishes.
