fatty lumps all over body

Postby guy28 » Tue Jan 15, 2008 9:34 am

I am a 29 year old male, and two years ago I found 3 lumps on my arm that the doctor found out was lipoma after removing one of them. Now two years later I have almost 40 of them from head to toe. Whats wrong with me? How do I stop this!?

Hi guy28,

Lipomas are made up of normal fat tissue. They are not malignant and are not precancerous. There are no known reasons as to why they occur. If they become large and painful they can be surgically removed. There is also no known way to prevent them from occuring.

Thanks for writing in and good luck.
