My 11 year old son has had a patch of skin on his chest since birth. It is large covering almost half his chest and textured (kinda bumpy). It tans as he tans and is only slightly darker than the rest of his skin. His pediatrician said that we should see a dermatologist about it before he hits puberty. We have an appointment next month but I would like to have some knowledge before we go in and I have been unsuccessful with my google attempts. If you have any knowledge that would be great.
Hello,Your son has most probably what is called as beckers nevus.Nothing to worry, and laser may help in removal but no treatment is generally required.
