Grey spots on shaft of penis

Postby confusedandconcered » Mon Dec 29, 2008 2:40 pm

I am an 18 year old male who is not circumcised or sexually active. I have recently noticed many grey spots appear on the shaft of my penis. They seem to be a sort of discoloration. When erect or when I stretch the skin, the spots seem lighter. There also seems to be discoloration on the under part of the penis near the genitals; it is becoming whiter overall and more of those grey spots appear. They cause no pain or irritation whatsoever, but I was concered of what they may be. Should I be worried and what can they be? How do I get rid of them?
Thank you.

Hello --

While these are probably just normal variations in skin pigmentation, it's odd enough to warrant an exam by a doctor. Could be a fungal infection (doubtful) or something more obscure. Probably not dangerous, but since we don't know what it is, best move would be to have it checked. No sense letting it get worse if it is something.

Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
