Worried about "splinters" under my nails

Postby cheekois » Thu Dec 02, 2004 10:49 am

For about a year i have been seeing unexplained "splinters" under several of my finger nails. They are tiny and dark and color. They usaully travel up the nail and then disappear.
As of late i have been experiencing shortness of breath and in general just plain tired. It feels like I just cannot get enough air - not like I am choking put this pressure gets worse and goes away after awhile. This happens everyday.
I am asking about the correlation between the two symptons.....any advice would be appreciated

(i have a dr. appt tomorrow)

Dear Cheekois,

From your description that this dark spots travel up the nail, i think that they might be in the nail itself unless you mean that you disappear and go to new positions.

This might not be splinter hemorrhages at all.

Keep me posted about what your doctor said.

i posted another reply to your other post.

Thank you very much for using our website http://doctorslounge.com and i hope that this information helped.
