Ultrasound reliability relies almost totally on the skill of the examiner. Only trained radiologists perform these tests and you should have nothing to worry about. If I were to answer your question from a purely technical point of view: Then testicular ultrasonography has sensitivity of approximately 90% in your case (meaning it can detect up to 90% of clinically significant testicular lumps). Again, what is more important is the interpretation.
That said, if your symptoms should progress then you should seek a second opinion and possibly a new ultrasound.
