How is a retrievable IVC filter removed?

Hi Samba,

Typically, if needed, these IVC filters are placed and removed by catheters that are inserted into the veins in your thigh/groin area. This is basically the same procedure as a cardiac catheterization except that the catheters don't need to go all the way to the heart.
