The 27 number is most likely the percentage of white blood cells that are neutrophils. A normal percentage is closer to around 50-60% but 27% is not critically low, assuming that your total WBC count is not too low.
Very commonly, infections with a virus induce a shift and production of lymphocytes (another white blood cell type). When the lymphocyte count goes up, by simple increase in the total number of WBC's, the percentage of neutrophils goes down.
If there are other concerning symptoms I would recommend you have this rechecked. Otherwise, it is probably fine to simply have this rechecked the next time a reason arises.
