What pain medication is usually given with Versed when a colonoscopy is done? Thanks.

Hi SusieQ1,
This varies a little depending upon the GI specialists preference. The procedure is not a painful one. If one is used it often is for its sedation properties. In this case, a short acting narcotic such as fentanyl is often used.
