Hello, this is a question for my partner who is 23, slim and fit, and usually very healthy. (male)
he is in a great deal of pain this morning, he has had it before but it seems to be happening more and more often and he can only correlate it to happenening when he has had alcohol the night before, as in say 4 cans of lager. it seems to be happening nearly every time he drinks now, he usually drinks everynight but has recently been trying to cut down as i said he drinks too much.
his symptoms are:
pain in ribs at the back, all along the back of his ribs - in the stomach at the front is what he describes as a gassy feeling.
perhaps uncorrelated symptoms are he has a very sore painful throat - and not that long ago he had a bacterial infection in his throat which he took antibiotics for. he finds it strange he is getting a bad throat again so soon.
he is in a great deal of pain and when he says it has happened before it has lasted until about lunch time. thank you.
