For the past 3 weeks ive had blood in my stool it started off with bright red streaks and mucus around the stool and now there is sometimes blood in the stool....... i havent gone to the bathroom normally in over a months... thanks for ur time.

Hi frustrated,
Blood in the stool can be caused by numerous reasons. For example, medications, irritation in any part of the gastrointestinal tract, hemorrhoids, etc. Of course, this is NOT a normal finding and warrants a visit to your doctor. Please make an appointment to be seen.
