Hello,
My wife is currently in her first trimester of pregnancy with our second child.
We are having some concerns. She has been having blood accompany her bowel movements and today had a solid piece of blood (blood clot???) also pass.
What could this be? Could she be having hemorrhoids? We will be seeing a doctor soon.
Thanks,
h0n9tran

Hi!
There are many causes for rectal bleeding, and hemorrhoids is one cause that is exacerbated in a first-trimester pregnancy. This could be compounded by constipation as well. It is best to consult the doctor for definite therapy.
