Sometimes when I eat food seems to get "stuck" in my esophagus and it really hurts, it's usually right under my sternum and it causes a lot of pain. It has been a lot worse the past week and I've had this feeling of something being in my throat sort of at the base of my neck just above my colarbone.

Hi!
Visit your physician: you need some radiologic evaluation and some blood tests done before a specific diagnosis can be made. Do you suffer from hyperacidity and/or indigestion??
