Can hemorrhoids be caused by anal sex? I am pretty sure that I have a type 1 hemorrhoid, but I cant imagine any other way that I would have gotten it. If you have had a hemorrhoid, can you still have anal sex, or will it return? Also, What is the quickest way to heal it?

 Hi sss,
Hemorrhoids result when the vessels around the lower rectum or anus become swollen. These may be internal or external. Some of the common causes of this condition are constipation, straining, anal intercourse. Alleviating symptoms is the usual medical treatment and although they may decrease in size sometimes they don't completely disappear.
