Hi, I am on birth control pills and I have always taken them at the exact same time with no missed pills. I always make sure I have not been sick after taking the pill to make sure it works properly. I also use condoms with no problems. Last Sunday I started my green (period) pills and I woke up to find out I had food poisoning. It is Wednesday now and no more food poisoning but also no period. Could my sickness have delayed it? I have no other symptoms of pregnancy. I can't get a home pregnancy test until tuesday but I'm worried! Is there any other reason why I have not started yet?
Thankyou!

Hello,
It is very plausable that your period got delayed because of your illness. Especially if you say you use condoms then the likelihood of pregnancy is minor. Remember to confirm you are not pregnant on Tuesday.
Best regards.
