Question: birth control pill question

annlong - Tue Jan 09, 2007 6:46 am

I am a 28 year old female who has been using bcp's for several years. I have always started my new pack on sundays...well for some strange reason I started my new pack this week on saturday (a day early) I don't know what to do and the pharmacist was no help...my dr has not called me back yet.....

This is not a problem. Traditionally, OCP's have been started on Sunday so that the period from the pills does start on the weekend. Remember that OCP's contain 21 days of pils with hormones and then 7 days of pills without hormones. During these 7 days, women experience their period (not necessarily for all 7 days).

Starting on a Saturday is fine. Likely you will notice no difference. OCP's can be started on any day of the week if so desired.

Hope this helps.

I'm 20 years old female well of course.. Well the question I have is I have been taking Birth Control for a couple of years now, and then for a period of 6-8 months I stopped taking them, I recently started again, then stopped for about 2-3 weeks and this month is my first pack that I started since I stopped, I am now on week 4 which started on tuesday and we are now on friday and I still don't have my period.. Why is that??

I am a 29-year-old female who has been taking birth control pills for 7 years after my daughter was born. I just recently missed taking my pills for a month and my menstral cycle has not started. Is it because I missed taking my pills? I am about to start back taking them. Will my period resume when I get to that 7 day supply of pills when your period should come on?
