Question: Persistent left sided mystery pain

My 22 yr. old daughter first noticed a "pinch-like" pain in her lower left side last spring. She has had a number of tests (abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound, Colonoscopy, CT scan with IV contrast) for this pain and various g.
I. symptoms. The first ultrasound showed "functional" ovarian cysts and the transvaginal showed nothing of note, as did the Colonoscopy, etc. She is on Reglan and Nexium for GERD, Lexapro, and Toprol XL (MVP.)
The pain is more pronounced now, not preventing her from functioning but noticeable and annoying. What now? Is it possible something ovarian could be going on and not show up? Thanks for any suggestions - we are baffled.

Does her pain tend to be worse in correlation with her menstrual cycle? Endometriosis can present as pain in various places and can be very difficult to diagnosis. At times, it may even require an exploratory laparotomy to actually take a direct look for the small areas of endometrial tissue. The tip off for this is that the pain tends to be cyclic.
Most of the other causes of pain in that area would likely have been picked up by the testing she's had done. Her testing has been quite thorough.
Is her pain recreated or worsened by pressing on the area? Is her pain affected by eating? Has she found anything that makes the pain better or worse. Is it constant or intermittent. Is it sharp, dull, burning, etc.
Lots of questions but perhaps they may help us come up with some more possibilities. Abdominal pain can be quite perplexing and difficult to diagnose. Persistence is key.
